Are you resonating at a Low or High Vibration?

What does having a “low” or “high vibration” mean?

If you’ve heard these phrases used before, and if you are interested to learn more about what having a high or low vibration means keep reading!

High vibrations are generally associated with positive qualities and feelings, such as love, forgiveness, compassion and peace. On the other hand, low vibrations are associated with heavier feelings such as hate, fear, greed and depression.

We’ll explore low and high vibrations more in depth below.

But what does all of this really mean to you?

Essentially, the higher your vibration is, the more in touch you are with your higher self, Higher Consciousness, Soul, or the many other words out there to describe your inner nature.

This also means that the lower your vibration is the more out of alignment you are with your higher nature and therefore generally with experience the more struggle in your life.


  • You feel “stuck” in life and unhappy with where you are at right now
  • You struggle with feeling apathetic and lack enthusiasm for life
  • You feel emotionally distant or cut off from others
  • You are very emotionally reactive to other people, places and situations
  • You struggle with constantly feeling fatigued and lethargic
  • You feel you deserve more
  • You often feel depressed
  • Your relationships often end badly or painfully
  • You find it hard to let go of harmful habits or addictions
  • You feel physically unfit and unhealthy
  • You often feel resentful and jealous of others
  • You find it hard to forgive yourself and others
  • You often feel guilty about your actions and thoughts
  • You don’t really know what you want in life
  • You feel like you make poor choices that bring little satisfaction
  • You feel anxious about the future most of the time
  • You find it hard to see the beauty in life
  • You often feel unfulfilled by things
  • Your connections with others constantly cause you pain
  • You often feel cynical and skeptical
  • You have lots of arguments or are surrounded by argumentative people
  • You have a lot to complain about
  • You use substances to help change your mood
  • You seem toself-sabotage the good things in your life
  • You focus primarily on the negative in life.
  • You struggle to find things to feel grateful about
  • You can't stop eating and crave very sugary, fatty or processed foods
  • You feel needy or are very demanding of other people's love, energy or time
  • You watch a lot of violent media and/or listen to intense music with violent lyrics
  • You feel it is hard to progress in life
  • You feel as if you are in the 'flow' of life
  • You find smiling and laughing comes easily
  • You regularly feel gratitude for what you have in life
  • You feel calm and content most of the time
  • You feel connected to your intuition and often follow hunches to positive outcomes
  • You have a great sense of humor towards life
  • You don’t take yourself or your roles too seriously
  • You are highly creative and are often bursting with ideas and inspiration
  • You can let things go and don’t experience much disappointment when things change (e.g. relationships, jobs, material possessions)
  • You are empathetic towards others and you can understand the feelings of other people and beings (eg. animals, plants)
  • You are true to your word and do what you say you are going to do
  • You have self-discipline
  • You can delay self-gratification without feeling deprived
  • You do not “need” anything to feel happy
  • You can feel happy just by 'being'
  • You are in-tune with your body and understand what it is communicating to you
  • You know how to truly nurture yourself and you do so often
  • You are kind to others
  • You often experience synchronicity and serendipity
  • You live in the present most of the time
  • You do not regret the past or fear the future.
  • Your body feels energetic
  • You don't get sick often
  • You naturally enjoy eating raw and unprocessed whole food
  • You enjoy keeping your environment clutter free
  • You enjoy tidying up and cleaning
  • You forgive yourself and other people quickly and easily
  • You feel as though you have chosen what you are doing in life
  • New opportunities spontaneously appear regularly for you
  • You can be patient without struggling
  • You don’t feel the need to argue or compete with others
  • You are open to many different types of people, ideas, beliefs and experiences in life
  • You feel confident in yourself and know your abilities and capabilities
  • You are attracted to profound, calming and inspirational music/movies/TV shows
  • You feel repelled by violence
  • You find other people often open up to you
  • You do not seek other people's approval or love
  • You know your worth and that is not affected even if others don't get you or like you
  • You generally just feel good

The reality is that most of us share some forms of “low vibration” and other forms of “high vibration,” but the goal is to become aware of what you are excelling at and what you could improve on within your journey of inner transformation.

One of the easiest ways to determine whether you are vibrating at a “high frequency” or a “low frequency” is by paying attention to how youphysically feel.

Do you feel light, energized, clear and healthy?

Chances are you have a high vibration. On the other hand, if you feel weighed down, repressed, oppressed, stuffy or heavy, you are most likely operating on a low vibration.
